Question by : How to get sound from HDMI?
Hello everybody,
How do I get only the sound from my HDMI sources (laptop, HD player) play to my speaker?
So what cable do I need? I know I can disable sound from HDMI ouput in my laptop to TV but I don’t know how to get the sound to play in the speaker. Optical audio? or 3.5mm jack? or 2 color jack?
HDMI output —> carry images —> HDTV
” —-> carry sound —-> speaker
@Christ: thanks for the answer. The speaker connected to the DVD by the 2 color cable, so I have to buy an optical audio cable anyway
Is there other way to use the 3.5mm jack to get audio from my laptop?

What is the speaker connected to? Receiver? Use the optical audio out from the TV to the receiver
